B. S. Higgins Co

Bar Harbor

Blythen S. Higgins and his brother Albert L. Higgins were in business as Higgins Bros. They were the sons of Albert F. Higgins, for whom Albert's Meadow is named. At some point, he and his brother had a falling out and by 1910 Blythen had moved his grocery to 353 Main St., which is beyond the Athletic Field near Kebo Brook. The Higgins Market on Ledgelawn was run by Cecil Higgins and may have been started by his father Harold. (History as provided by Dave Higgins:)

Higgins had a market on 353 Main St. Bar Harbor. This is a store bottle, often stores with a bottle didn't have a farm.
