Springvale Dairy

Bar Harbor

The Emery district is named for these folks I believe. An old island name definitely. These are some of the oldest bottles I have from MDI. Two of them are turning amethyst from sun exposure. Manganese used in the glass (pre-ww1) causes it. So that means those bottles are from around 1915. That is really old. I don't know where this farm is, but most farms on MDI end up being used later by other farmers many who had bottles also.
