Lakewood Farm. See “Farm Owner's History” in the link below to read extensively on the Alley Farm. Brad Gray said that the Alley Barn burned in 1937. Alley moved to Winterport at some point and farmed there. See “Clarence Alleys Chattel Mortgage” below. Clarence recorded his on the same day that Percy Kief did his. Both of these guys were major shareholders in Mount Desert Island Dairies. Both mortgaged the farm to do so apparently. MDID opened June 1932 and these mortgages were taken out February 1933.

Clarence Alley's Chattel Mortgage I suspect that getting this mortgage was to raise money to invest in MDI Dairies, for which Clarence was a founding member.
